    About

    Hi, I'm Samantha! I'm the baker and photographer behind Savor The Spoonful. Thank you for being here!

    I started Savor The Spoonful in college as a creative outlet that combines my passions for baking and photography. Being gluten-free and vegetarian, I was inspired to create delicious recipes that people with dietary restrictions, like me, can easily make at home.

    Growing up in rural Ohio, I have fond memories of baking with my grandmother. I’ve always loved photography and currently work as a food and beverage photographer for a marketing agency, in addition to running my baking blog.

    Why "Savor The Spoonful"?

    I named my blog Savor The Spoonful because I believe you should "savor every spoonful" of your food, treats included!

    In a culture that has demonized sweets and promoted various "diet plans" over the decades, it's an unfortunate truth that many people (myself included) have fallen into disordered eating habits at one time or another.

    I set out to make Savor The Spoonful a safe space to find delicious, dietary-friendly recipes without the negative diet talk and "guilt-free" messaging that often accompanies food websites.

    All foods belong in a healthy and balanced diet, and nobody should feel pressured to restrict themselves from enjoying the desserts they love. "Guilt" is not an ingredient here!

    Dietary-Friendly Options for Everyone

    Here you'll find a variety of vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free dessert recipes that are super easy to make. We're all busy, and baking should be fun! You don't need any fancy baking skills or much time to make these recipes.
